Cuando Nirvana publicó su “Unplugged in New York” la crítica destacó que la desnudez de las antes ruidosas canciones demostraba que detrás del ruido había grandes melodías y revalorizó el, antes puesto en duda, talento de Cobain. Salvando las distancias, este disco acaba haciendo lo mismo con la música electrónica. Al desnudar y dejar las piezas solo con piano y voz uno descubre, si no lo había hecho antes, que detrás de los bits hay grandes canciones. En algunos casos ya lo sabíamos (nadie duda de la grandeza de “Regret” o “Left to my own devices”) pero en la mayoría de casos se descubre una nueva vida para las canciones. El disco se grabó en directo en julio del 2005 en la Jazzroom de Barcelona con la voz de Damills y el piano de Jaime Vilaseca.

Damills es David Amills, barcelonés que a los 16 años quedó impactado por los conciertos en La Fusa de Vinicious de Moraes, lo que hizó crecer su interés por la música y la cultura brasileña. En el 2004 publicó Bossanovando en formato quinteto mezclando músicos brasileños y catalanes donde se hacían versiones en clave bossa de los Beatles, los Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Nirvana, Björk, Portishead, Jobim,…

When Nirvana realised its "Unplugged in New York" the critic emphasized that the nakedness of the before noisy songs demonstrated that behind the great noise there were melodies and revalued Cobain’s talent. Saving distances, this record does the same with electronic music. When undressing and playing the songs only with piano and voice one discovers, if it hadn’t been done before, that behind the bits there are great songs. In some cases we also knew it (nobody doubt of the greatness of "Regret" or " Left to my own devices") but in most of cases we discover a new life for the songs. The cd was recorded live on July 2005 in Barcelona’s Jazzroom with the voice of Damills and the piano of Jaime Vilaseca.
Damills is David Amills, a Barcelonian that at 16 was hit by Vinicious de Moraes’ Fusa concerts, which made grown its interest in Brazilian music and culture. In 2004 he published Bossanovando with a quintet formed mixing Brazilian and Catalan musicians palying cover versions in key of bossa from the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Nirvana, Björk, Portishead, Jobim...
